Wow. Just got a crazy email today saying that Reni Laine has been chosen as one of 6 semifinalists in the Gen Art Bioré Uncover/Discover Competition. We submitted 3 songs back in April and we got it! So cool. Please click the pic and signup to vote for Reni Laine!!!

As one of the semi-finalists, her image, bio and 3 MP3’s will go up on www.bioregenart.com from July 1-Aug 31st for public voting. The public will narrow down to three finalists, from which a winner will be picked and announced in September. The winning artist will be chosen by a panel of industry influentials.
The winner will then be flown to New York to perform at a showcase event (along with the winning fine artist, filmmaker and fashion designer) in October and will receive a grand prize of $20,000.

Reni Laine will be opening for Ralph Van Manen in a very special event at the MELKWEG in Amsterdam on JULY 18. This is an amazing show, great club and par for the course of what is to come in Reni’s future. I will be playing guitar and enjoying a nice Leffe Bruin.

New Patty Griffin DVD at Angel Orensantz in NYC. Coming along nicely. What a great performance. Also Ben Kweller upcoming Artists Den Live EP. One night at the Soho House. A great performance by Ben. Love his writing and such a nice guy..:) aaaaaah.

Ralph and I are hard at work. Last night till 7am. 5 songs in 5 days. Not much sleep, but its good for the melodies and the metaphorical thinking.

Ralph made it to NYC despite a savage craiglister landlord, a gypsy cab rip off artist (they still have these guys at JFK?), and a non working virgin mobile prepay. Anyway after massive jetlag, the horses are on the track! Two songs a couple of beers and a Reni Laine performance down, David and Ralph are off to a fine start! Pics to follow!
