As an engineer/mixer at his studio FlowNY he has had the pleasure of recording and mixing Alanis Morissette, Raphael Saadiq, Jakob Dylan, The Hold Steady, KT Tunstall, Patty Griffin, Regina Spektor, Shawn Colvin, Ben Kweller, Martha Wainwright, and The Secret Machines.

In 2004 he discovered and subsequently produced the debut cd “American Baby” for then 16 year old wonderkid Reni Lane. Just a few years later, after a european tour, a review in Nylon Magazine and a campaign for First Ladies of MTV/Virgin Mobile, Reni got a lucky break and signed to Custard/Universal.  David is co-writing and producing several tracks on the major label debut due in late spring of 2009.

In late 2006 he traveled out to San Fancisco to write and record the young electropop turks Lavendi. They are the favorites of myspace global trendsetters and metrosexuals, and the numbers are growing daily…. Recently they were voted the #1 most requested band on SF’s big rock station LIVE 105! He also has written and produced tracks for the Guadeloupean beauty Cilla working with Junius Bervine of Jill Scott, Vivian Green, and Floetry.

With the changing climate of the music business over he last couple of years, Pattillo also acts as a manager to each artist he works with helping them to realize their vision and make their dream a reality. Whether its cutting their next great song, building their website, making contacts, booking advertising go-sees, or playing guitar on tour, Pattillo steps in to make it happen.

As a performer, he has appeared at downtown NYC clubs like Mercury Lounge, The Knitting Factory, and The Living Room, and has also toured in Europe as a solo artist and with his former rock trio Mer. Over the years he has shared bills and conversation with NYC singer songwriters like Jeff Buckley, David Poe, and Chris Whitley.

    Dave,
It’s Manny Viamonte from P.B. Public & Forest Hill H.S. in WPB. How’s it going. Funny story,
I was looking up some facts about David Bowie online and it reminded me of you, so for shits and giggles I thought to goggle your name and I came across your website. For years I’ve been asking folks back home (I’m in Las Vegas) if they had heard from you. Drop me a line..

    Hi Dave,
It’s great to see your doing well. I was just looking up old friends from the 80′s, and thought of you. Nice long hair- it’s good to see you’re successful, I knew you would be!
I’m still a photographer here outside of Houston, with my wife, daughter Unity, and two twin sons- Maximus & Ekstasis (eko).
Say hi sometime. I’d love to hear what’s up with you. What ever happened to Phil Re?

    :)
